27Samsung_Galaxy_S4_35627724_610x43611:45 AM – Samsung is one of the world’s most popular companies when it comes to smartphone market.  With its massive marketing budget, gadget spamming and bashing ads, it has proven just how much power it has.  Upcoming year 2014 will be another big year for the Korean giant.  How exactly?  Through its power over screens.  We have heard rumors about what may or may not be seen in the Galaxy S5 smartphone, however one thing that will most likely feature is a Quad HD screen.

According to a new report from Digital Daily News (via Sam Mobile), Samsung has begun mass producing 5.25-inch display panels for the Galaxy S5 with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution.  These panels are at 2K resolution or named quad HD.  The pixel density works out to be 526 pixels per inch (PPI).  These panels will pack twice as many pixels as previous 1080p HD screens that are used on current Android smartphones.

There have also been recent reports that the S5 may just feature a full HD 1080p screen.  Our best guess is that since Samsung has a habit of creating multiple versions of each smartphone, the company may introduce several versions of the S5.  One version may feature a full DH 1080p display, while a higher cost version may feature the new quad HD display.  At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.

Other than the display, the S5 is expected to feature the new Snapdragon 805 processor or 64-bit Exynos processor (depending on region), 3GB of RAM, 16 megapixel rear camera, 4,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.
